We deal with all types of phone accessories one could think of; and we also sell and repair phones, such as Blackberry, Nokia, Tecno, Tab, IPad, etc. Generally, we deal with all types of electronics, computers, laptops and others.
LIVE MEDIA: You said phone accessories, electronics and computer systems. What does it take to go into this type of business?
KAYCEE INVESTMENT: Thank you, Live Media. What it actually takes to start this type of business in a small scale is just a little amount of money. But first of all, I will like to advise those who may want to go into phone accessories business. Because initially, I mentioned phone accessories, computers, electronics and others that we, basically Kaycee Investment are dealing with; but as a new starter, I will advise that you start with phone accessories first simply because it yields unimaginable profits than anyone could ever imagine. For a start, anyone who wants to start should have at least one hundred thousand naira (N100,000). With this amount, one can be able to buy enough accessories just for start that can bring him a lot of profits. And as the business keeps booming, he can then start buying and selling of computer systems, electronics and others things.
LIVE MEDIA: Starting this business with the sum of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000), can you please tell us how much can someone make as profit in a month?
KAYCEE INVESTMENT: For phone accessories, it has a lot of gains and profits. So, if you start this phone accessories business with the sum of one hundred thousand naira I have initially mentioned, I will assure you that if you are a type who knows how to handle business properly, you can make times three of your start-up capital of one hundred thousand naira. So, that will amount to three hundred thousand naira (N300,000) in a month.

KAYCEE INVESTMENT: Yes, sure.

My advice to those who may want to go into phone accessories business is that if you are doing any business, irrespective of its volume you must be very focus on where you are going. That is the number one key for every business to move and boom very fantastically well. Another factor to consider is your relationship between your business and your customers. You must learn how to attend to your customers in such a way that if they leave your shop, the impression will never fade away from their memories. And what that means? That means they will surely come back for more of your accessories. You must as well learn how to treat your customers very well. Always be polite with your customers. Address them as if you are addressing Mr President. One thing I will like you to know is that there is nothing like the first impression you create before your customers. Don't over price list your market. Always be truthful to your customers. Don't give them fakes claiming it's the best original. Tell them, this is the fake one, and that is the original one; this is the price for the fake and the price for the original one. Believe me, if you continue this way, I assure you that your business will continue to grow from level to levels.
If you know how to treat your customers very well, they will be the ones that will advertise your business for you by telling others how good your products are, and how good you do treat your customers. Believe me, they would bring more people into your business.
LIVE MEDIA: OK, as a new person in the business, where is the right market can someone go to purchase better and quality phone accessories in Nigeria, today? I mean where can someone get them in a cheaper price so that he will make pretty and cool profit?
KAYCEE INVESTMENT: My advice for those who may want to go into phone accessories business for the first time is that going to Alaba international market would be more better than any other markets that sell phone accessories in Nigeria as it is today. To be sincere with you, all other markets in Nigeria that deal heavily with computers, electronics, phone accessories and others are buying their goods from Alaba international market simply because the price over there is cheaper than any other markets in Nigeria, today. If you want to start selling phone accessories, I will advise you that you should go to Alaba international market. Though, there are some who buy from computer village and resell them again, but those ones are not making good profit like people who buy directly from Alaba international market. The prices in these two markets are quite different from each other. For instance, accessories that you can buy like N80 from Alaba international market, when you come to computer village, they are sold like N250 or N300. You see! You can see the big difference here now. So, going to Alaba international markets is advisable.
LIVE MEDIA: And again, if you will tell us anything but the whole truth as you have been into this business for a long time now, where in Nigeria, especially in Lagos precisely, can someone set up this phone accessories business and will never think of quitting phone accessories business? I mean where can this business move very well in Nigeria, precisely in Lagos?
KAYCEE INVESTMENT: Before I proceed, I will like to ask you one question. Is it in small scale or in a large volume? Because initially, I made mentioned of the minimum amount of money you can start with phone accessories business in a small way. What type exactly are you talking about?

KAYCEE INVESTMENT: My advice to someone who wants to start phone accessories, computers, electronics business for a start is that he should find a place or shop where people are passing every time, 24/7. I mean in a very busy place; not a corridor.

Can you please tell how much exactly a piece of these accessories is sold in these markets?
KAYCEE INVESTMENT: Is it in pieces or in bulk?
LIVE MEDIA: Yes, I mean in pieces. Even if you want to make a purchase, either in pieces or in bulk, you should at least know how much per one is sold so that you won't be cheated when you are buying in bulk. Rumours have it that a piece of charger, earpix is sold at the rate of N90 or less in Alaba international markets. Is it true?
KAYCEE INVESTMENT: I cannot assure you of the actual price per pieces. As you know, there are different types of chargers, batteries, earpix and casing in the markets. It is not that we have single type of product in the whole world. The price depends on the product you want to buy.Therefore, I cannot tell the actual price for any product, because they don't have fixed price. The prices vary from each other. I will advise that when you get to market, they will give you price, you bargain for the products, if you see that you can make gain after turnover, then go ahead and make your purchase. After all, business is all about gain and loss! But be very wise while making your purchase.
LIVE MEDIA: OK, what types of phone accessories do we have in the markets that someone can buy for selling as a starter in this business? For instance, when you get to market and you say, "I want to buy phone accessories", which ones are the good and original ones to go for?

LIVE MEDIA: Talking About computers, laptops, systems and stuff like that, and for a new starter; can you please tell us how much can someone get a piece of laptop, computer, or CPU from this market you just mentioned?
KAYCEE INVESTMENT: Yah! It all depends on the type of product and maker. The price is different from one another.

We have so many of them. But as economy is going now, I cannot be able to tell you how much per one is sold now. Before, we did buy HP laptops like N20,000 and we resell them like N45 and N80,000. Like SNS, 10' Android Laptop---pink, we did buy at the rate of N10,000 or less, and we resell them at the rate of N20,000 or N25,000. So and so forth!
What I will say is that, there is a lot of gain in phone accessories, computer and electronic business. If you look at the market now, you will see that people, especially Igbo guys have flooded it than looking for job from January to December. There is nothing like Mobile phone accessories and system business.
